In August 2022, 106 new members ran home to the Gamma Zeta chapter of Delta Gamma at Louisiana State University.
Member class ’22 hosts women from 17 different states with an average GPA of 3.93.
“The 2022 recruitment season was one that I will forever hold close to my heart. I worked alongside my recruitment team to plan and prepare our chapter for the formal recruitment process. Tasked with the daunting responsibility of communicating the personality of our chapter to 1400 potential new members in one short week, we found guidance in our central goal: To deliver an authentic vision of life as a Delta Gamma and to make every woman who walked through our doors feel not only accepted but celebrated. I am still in awe of the sense of optimism, dedication and support that filled our home from the first day of prep week to the final preference ceremony. Throughout my collegiate experience, Delta Gamma has been my source of inspiration, security and confidence. To open those doors to 106 incredible young women was one of my greatest honors.”-Maddie Dies, Gamma Zeta’s Vice President of Membership
Countless members from Member Class ’22 expressed a feeling of belonging, security, and friendship from the moment they stepped into the Delta Gamma house during Panhellenic recruitment.
“My favorite part of running home to DG on bid day was knowing that I had been placed in a position to be surrounded by a group of genuine and uplifting girls for the next four years. Every time I stepped into the DG house during rush, I instantly felt calmer and more content than I had at any other house down the row. I knew that DG was the best fit for me, so it was such an awesome experience opening up my bid and running home to such an amazing place.”- Beth Amacker, Member Class ‘22
“My favorite part of running home to DG was knowing that I was running home to more than a house and a group of girls. The girls at DG were so loving and welcoming throughout recruitment. When I opened my bid, I knew in my heart that I had made the right choice. I also ran alongside one of my high school besties, Isabella!”- Catherine Blondiau, Member Class ‘22
Gamma Zeta seeks to provide each potential new member a positive, friendly, and comforting atmosphere not only during recruitment, but for all of their college years.
“My favorite part of running home to DG on bid day was running in the front with one of my high school best friends, Ellie. I felt like everyone down the row was watching, and I couldn't be more proud and excited to have them all know we were to Delta Gamma’s! I also couldn't wait to find my bid day buddy and see the smile on her face when she knew I was on my way home!”- Britney Barattini, Member Class ‘22
“My favorite part of running home to DG was that the second I arrived it felt like my TRUE home away from home! Going in I knew nobody, but everyone in DG has been so kind and genuine. Bid day was so exciting and hanging out at the house that night gave me a true taste of what it means to be a DG!”- Emily Giordano, Member Class ‘22
Gamma Zeta is a place that all collegiate women looking for a true sisterhood can run home to with open arms.
